APTOS, founded in 1987 in Georgia, has always been on the cutting edge of aesthetics. In 1996, they developed unique threads for aesthetic surgery and cosmetology, after which the awards started rolling in.
The decorations began with a Gold Medal at the International Congress of French Society of Aesthetic Surgery in 2001 and have not stopped since.
In 2016, APTOS received their 4th Anti-Aging & Beauty Trophy at AMEC (Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine Europe Congress), and received the same honour in 2017, at the AMEC Live Visage Conference. In 2016,APTOS was also announced as having the Best Tightening Threads at AMEC in Paris.
APTOS barbed threads can be both permanent and resorbable. The permanent thread is made from polypropylene, and results last an impressive 2 – 5 years. The absorbable suture material used is L-lactide + Caprolactone copolymer with results lasting 1.5 – 2 years.
To date, APTOS is represented in over 50 countries world-wide, boast 50 thread lifting methods, 30 different threads, and has obtained 8 international patents.
